Large fluctuation of melt pump outlet pressure is mainly caused by the following reasons. At the equipment level, gears or shaft sleeve wear after long-term use, the gap becomes larger, the melt backflow increases, making the outlet pressure unstable.
Operation and material level, the inlet material supply is insufficient, the gear can not be completely filled, resulting in sudden pressure changes and vibration; the material is mixed with air bubbles, metal foreign objects or carbonized coking material, easy to block the pump body or aggravate the wear of the gears; improper temperature control, the melt viscosity changes with the temperature, resulting in fluctuations in flow rate, which is directly reflected in the outlet pressure.
System level, pipeline design if there is flow resistance, dead ends or bending radius is too small and other issues, will increase the fluid resistance, resulting in pressure fluctuations; pressure sensor accuracy is insufficient or control algorithm is abnormal, can not effectively and stably regulate the output pressure, but also lead to fluctuations in the export pressure.
